What does skincare mean to you? For us, it is more than just putting on products on our skin. It is a form of self-love and self-care for our mind and body. Let us introduce you to this term:
Skinvestment (n): The action or process of investing time, money and effort on your skincare routine for your healthier skin.
Our skin is the largest organ in our body, but it is undeniable that we often take it for granted and not give the love it deserves. This is where skincare can play a part in giving back to our skin that protects us.
Skincare is a journey for each individual that requires time, money and effort. It is a learning process for us to understand our skin better each day. It is not a competition on whose skin look better or whose vanity has the most amount of product. Everyone’s journey is supposed to be unique and tailored to their skin, lifestyle and goals. Do what makes your skin feel comfortable instead of just following what’s “new” or “in”. Listening to your skin is the secret to a fast-track on skinvestment.
Whether you’re new in your skincare journey or if you’ve been in it for a long time, you’ll always learn something new about yourself and your skin. It’s a never-ending learning process, and it will bring you and your skin to a better position, day by day, one step at a time. Skincare is not a magic potion that can change your skin overnight, nor should it stress you out. It is supposed to nourish your skin and mind. What’s your goal? It is supposed to be skin-enhancing and keeping it healthy instead of fitting in on what perceived as the “standard” of beauty. We believe you’re beautiful just as you are as long as you’re taking care of yourself.
Skincare doesn’t have to feel like a chore; it’s a lifestyle. It might be hard at first, but once you feel and see the difference, it’ll just come naturally. It’s just like a full circle of self-love; after you put some effort into loving your skin, your skin will love you back, and you will notice that you are glowing both inside and outside.
If you’re getting tired, try to think of how far you’ve come in this skincare journey. Nothing would ever go to waste, and you are making the right step forward. You’re not alone in this journey; we all have our own journey in skincare, self-love and self-care. We believe that it is just the beginning, and we are here, ready to help ease your skincare journey.
